Overview
We're looking for an experienced CNC machinist that can manage the machine shop workflow and work closely with engineering to program, optimize, and improve new and existing production parts. You'll also work with a CNC operator to assist with maintaining machine uptime and day-to-day operations.
We're a smaller team, so it's important that everyone is self-sufficient in their role. That is why the role begins as a 90-day contract. Upon successful completion of the contract period you'll transition to a full-time employee.
Tasks
- Program, Optimize, and Proof G-Code for Components
- Maintain CNC Machine Run Time
- Maintain Adequate On-Hand Materials and Tooling
- Coordinate Production Schedule with Engineering & CNC Operator
Shop Equipment & Software
- Solidworks / SolidCAM
- HAAS Dual-Spindle 30SSY CNC Lathe
- HAAS VF-4SS CNC Mill with 4th Axis
- Okuma CNC Lathe
- Manual Knee Mill & Lathes
- Misc Finishing Equipment (Vibratory, Ultrasonic, etc)
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ Years of CNC Programming & Proofing
- 5+ Years of Setting Up CNC Lathes and Mills (Tooling, Fixturing, etc.)
- 5+ Years of Operating CNC Equipment
- 5+ Years of Production QC
The number of years aren't written in stone. We need someone with reliable experience that can come in and run the shop safely and efficiently. Working in a high-paced shop with tight deadlines and hard tolerances will teach a lot of lessons and develop skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with SolidCAM / Solidworks
- Machine Shop Operations
- Experienced in Machining Plastics (Delrin/Acetal, HDPE, etc) and Metals (Aluminum, Stainless)
