Hawk Performance is the official brake pad supplier of the SCCA, and is probably the most popular performance brake pads used in road racing within the USA. Hawk pads are used by race teams in NASCAR, Champ Car, ARCA, SCCA, NHRA, IHRA and FIA.
Hawk pad compounds:
HPS (High Performance Street) provides 20-40% more brake torque than OEM pads, and are very low dusting, quiet and gentle on rotors. Great for autocrossing and can be used for light duty (beginner) road racing.
HP Plus is Hawk's street/track compound, suitable for autocrossing and beginner-intermediate level road racing (can be cycled over 1000F) and can be used on the street, though noisy (squeels at low temperatures slow stops) and dusty for street use.
Blue is Hawk's race compound, operates from 250-1000F, medium-high braking torque and very fade resistant, ideal for serious road racing and rally. Very abrasive and poor stopping power when cold, unsuitable for street use, should only be swapped in at the track.
HT-10 is another of Hawk's race compound, operates from 300-1600F, intermediate to high braking torque, not suitable for street use.

Ferodo - "The most podium positions in the history of Motorsports". Ferodo racing brake pads have been used by winning teams from Rally championships, Touring car championships, to Formula championships.
Ferodo pads are distinguished by their very high friction levels and almost perfectly consistent operation at all temperatures and speeds, critical to the advanced driver who finesses the brakes. The DS2500 is a street/track compound, high friction coefficient of about 0.5. The DS3000 is a race compound, very high friction coefficient of 0.6.

pads featuring new Siloxane Technology, which provides flatter coefficient of
friction across full temperature range, very low pad compression for firmer
pedal feel and low pad/disc wear even at high temperatures. DS1.11 average
coefficient of friction is 0.51 with about 45% less disc wear and 27% less pad
